Cool machine! It does not need the skills of a CNC programmer nor someone with years of experience with proprietary software to immediately use it.

Lacking a detailed instruction manual

The excitement of this purchase was short lived once it was received. This is not a plug and play out of the box. The instructions are lacking in important details and just tells you to find YouTube tutorials to watch. After endless hours sifting through videos to find appropriate videos you might find some useful information. Another huge disappointment is when purchasing it says it is compatible with my hypertherm xp45. It does not tell you that you will either have to upgrade you hypertherm to some expensive components or watch you tube videos on how to bypass the safety switch and wire it to the acrdoid but it will void your warranty. So now you're trusting some person on you tube to show you how to wire it and hope it isn't wrong information and damage your machine and void a warranty. I broke a micro switch in this procedure and it cost me another 100 bucks. Originally I saw the US price. Seemed fair. Even after black Friday sales this thing came to over $4k CND. Very expensive for something you are having made in China on next to nothing on the dollar then have the nerve to charge an extra 400 dollars for a piece of extrusion to extend the cutting service. That should be included in the price. I could have made a similar item for 50 bucks in material and a hour time. For a few grand more I could have got a proper cnc cutting table. Time will tell how this holds up and hopefully my knowledge on using it gets better as more information is found. Arcdroid you can do better! Better user manuals, transparency up front and take the greed out of the purchase price.

Took maybe an hour to get up and running cutting parts have a lot to learn but for basic pieces I amazed how way it is

So Far So Good!

Ive only had the Arcdroid turned on a couple times so far.. I built a water table and mounted the droid on its wide-cut indexing system track, but havent had time yet to play with any of it much. I did hook up my Everlast 62i cnc torch control and so far so good. Ive done a couple cuts that impressed me but the real test will be the next couple weeks of planned metal work.
